The production of pipe type K takes place according to DIN 16965. The strength of the chemical protective coating amounts at least 2.5 mm. Depending on application, the chemical protective coating consists of two layers C-glass fleece or synthetic fleece and additional glass mats.

The glass- as well as resin types depend on the usage conditions.
E- and ECR- glass mostly apply for the glass layer. In addition to that, UP- as well as vinyl ester resins are used.

The laminate is made up of alternating mats and woven materials. The outside layer consists of glass fleece and a weatherproofed resinous layer of 0.2 mm. The glass content of the laminate is 45 % ± 5%.
